To insert or exchange the battery, both screws need to be removed and the housing cover needs to be opened. Do not apply any force while opening the housing to avoid damaging the cover. If the cover cannot be removed smoothly, use a screwdriver to carefully lift the 4 plastic noses at the edge of the cover. When inserting the battery ensure the orientation is correct (+/-). Once the housing is closed, ensure the rubber gasket is not twisted or squeezed as this would have an adverse effect on the splash water density of the flare. Recharging In the Case: The carrying case is also a recharging port. Be sure the flare is properly seated in the charging stall. The loop should be on top and ON/OF button faces up. This will assure that the LED flare is properly on the charging prongs. Each charging station has an LED indicator noting if the unit is at full charge, red when recharging, green when complete. The outside of the case has a master charging indicator. This will be green when all units are fully charged. If one unit is still charging, it will remain red. It is normal for the master case charge indicator light to stay red, and take some time to turn green, even after the individual charging lights have turned green, because the unit continues to trickle charge the individual lights to their very highest capacity. The master case charge indicator light will eventually turn green once this trickle charge topping off process completes (usually in several hours or overnight). For Rechargeable Battery Remaining Capacity Indicating Function: Rechargeable flare had 16 pcs LED light. When press the button for 6 seconds, and then lighting LED quantity shows the battery capacity left. When 14 or 16 LED are lighting means the battery is full charged; When 8 LED are lighting means the battery had half power level; When 2 LED are lighting or not lighting means the battery had 2/16 power level or no power level, needs to recharge.
